 HELLO TO ALL FELLOW APCO MEMBERS:
I hope you have had a good year so far, and it has been great to see all of you at the various conferences and meetings that I have attended to discuss the issues facing APCO in the future.
My campaign for 2nd VP has been going great and I have been contacted by a lot of members, including the members from the areas that my opponent lists as endorsements. To me, blanket endorsements do not mean much; it’s where the individual voter makes their own decision as to who will guide this organization in the years to come.
Beginning July 7, 2008, you will have that very opportunity by being able to vote “electronically” on-line through APCO, and not have to mail in a ballot or wait until the Annual Conference to cast a vote. Now, the majority of the membership will have a say prior to the Conference and have a chance to make a real difference. So if you want change in our organization instead of the same status-quo, then please place your vote and make it count. This is YOUR organization and it’s up to you to have the say as to who sits in the chair.
I am looking forward to seeing all of you in Kansas City that can attend the conference, and if you cannot, let me hear from you.
